I attended a high school reunion recently, and it was quite an emotional experience. Seeing all my high school friends decades after our graduation made me feel like I was right back in my 18-year-old self. While there were some who looked very different, most of my friends’ essential personality had stayed the same.
Initially, I felt hesitant and nursed a quiet fear that the reunion would be a theatrical production to show off our achievements. But as the night progressed, it became evident that we were all here to reacquaint ourselves with old friends, reminisce about the past, and relive the memories that we had cherished back then.
